Meisinger Bone Management Balloon Lift Control

Balloon-Lift-Control (BLC) is a very safe procedure used for the pre-augmentative stripping of the maxillary sinus mucosa. It is minimally invasive. Independently of the vertical height of the osseous sinus floor, the mucosa can be lifted by more than 10 mm. BLC consists of two osteotomes and a balloon expander that is inserted into the maxillary sinus after impression of the weakened floor. Subsequently, the balloon is extended to the required size using radio-opaque liquid , or sterile saline. The necessary volume equals the volume of augmentation required.
